A rapidly expanding mining client of ours is currently looking for a project cost controller to join their team based south-east of Perth.

Position Overview: The purpose of this role is to conduct project controlling activities that provide essential support to the Project Manager and Program Manager, ensuring accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily duties in these roles include but are not limited to: analyzing TOC project performance and providing detailed reports. Prepare monthly reports covering project lifecycle costs. Manage forecasts within a cost-plus framework. Report on budgets, forecasts, and financial commitments. Oversee workload hours and expenses for resources. Maintain the project cost control system. Prepare timely cost and progress reports, analysing discrepancies. Support budget allocation to project documentation. Assist with re-forecasting and estimating activities. Handle data entry and administration in project controls software. Manage multiple deadlines and demonstrate multitasking skills. Monitor and report monthly on key KPIs, including costs and cash flow. Collaborate with the team to analyse earned value metrics. Update the project cash flow forecast as needed.

What you will bring Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Project Management or relevant experience, Desirable Accounting/Finance major, Advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in project controls/services will be highly desirable.
