Disability Support Worker, Personal Support Australia Pty Ltd. Adelaide SA. Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development). Casual/Vacation. $30 – $35 per hour. Job Title: Disability Support Worker (Multiple Positions Available). Company: Personal Support Australia Pty Ltd.

Location (South Australia): Greenhill, Norwood, Salisbury, Woodville, Seaton, Modbury, Marion, Morphett Valley. Allowance: KM allowance + Hourly rates based on SCHADS Award.

Role: Multiple positions are available for Support Workers at all experience levels to join our teams across Adelaide. We have positions from companions to years of experience in physical and mental health.

Supports needed: Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of a range of person-centered programs. Work based on behavior support plans by utilizing positive behavior strategies. Assist and support clients to access the community, e.g. driving clients to the shops, appointments, coffee, gym, hiking, outdoor activities, etc.

Assist and support clients within their own home, e.g. assisting with household duties, personal and hygiene care, cooking, etc. Maintenance of progress notes and record-keeping. Medication Management and Administration. Supporting clients who use personal equipment/aid; this may include walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, and hoists. Reliable and committed to providing quality care to ensure our clients remain independent.

Essential Requirements (non-negotiable): You must have the right to live and work in Australia. Certificate III or IV in individual support, aged care or disability or an Allied Health qualification. Flexibility to work multiple shifts a day, including early mornings, late nights, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays. An NDIS Workers Check is required. Current first-aid and CPR certificate. Manual Handling certificate. Valid unrestricted Australian drivers’ license and your own comprehensively insured vehicle. Medication Assist/Administration training certificate. Smart phone. Working with Children Check.

Completed NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module (access online: ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course). Excellent written & verbal communication skills and good command of the English language. Covid-19 Vaccine Digital Certificate or have Medical Contraindication Certificate.
