Chef, Spice Nation, Burwood, Melbourne VIC, Chefs/Cooks (Hospitality & Tourism). Full time. $70,000 – $80,000 per year. We Urgently require a full-time Time Qualified Chef to manage kitchen of our busy restaurant in Clyde. You will lead your team to deliver an exceptional Restaurant Experience to our customers. You will also develop your team to achieve restaurant results and strive for success whilst maintaining a strong focus on profitability and consistently high standards of food preparation and service. 

About the role: As Head Chef, you will be responsible for motivating and leading a team of cooks and kitchen hands.

You will also be responsible for: Planning Menus in accordance with the standards of the restaurant. Ordering the stock required for the kitchen. Supervising the kitchen staff to ensure superior product standards; Effecting shift planning and management. Managing daily kitchen operations and preparation. Recruiting, inducting and training Kitchen Staff. Management and maintenance of all OHS requirements. Monitoring Food and labor Costs.

The successful Applicant will have the following skills and attributes: Have experience in a similar environment and relevant trade qualifications. Have passion for food and experience with spices and curries. Displays excellent communication and listening skills. Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Be team-oriented with a 'can-do attitude' and to multi task.

To be considered for this position, you must have exceptional communication skills and a 'can-do attitude', be accepting of responsibility, well trained and be team-driven. This role requires flexibility to work a roster including weekends and will involve day/night shift and you will need to show a full commitment to weekend work as this is our busiest time.
