The Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Development Manager to lead the delivery of a 260-apartment development project located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee all aspects of the project from planning and development through to construction and completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale residential projects, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end development of a 260-acre project, ensuring timely and successful delivery within budget. Manage the planning, design, and construction phases, coordinating with architects, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders. Lead the project team, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans, ensuring milestones are met.
Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with local councils, planning authorities, and community stakeholders. Identify and address project challenges, implementing solutions to keep the project on track. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, ensuring clear communication on project status and key deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in project management, preferably in residential or mixed-use developments. Proven track record in delivering large-scale residential projects, from inception to completion. Strong understanding of planning, design, construction processes, and local building regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Strong financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets and forecasts. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
