The Launceston General Hospital is a 360-bed acute facility that proudly provides high-level services to the community of Northern Tasmania.
The Dispensary Manager will: Manage a safe and efficient medication dispensing service to inpatients and outpatients at the relevant Hospital across Tasmania. Manage the work of other team members and provide supervision and leadership. Manage dispensing and medication supply practices.
Ensure medication supply practices comply with legal requirements, professional ethics, and departmental and hospital policies. Provide teaching and supervision of students from the University of Tasmania (School of Pharmacy and Rural Clinical School).

Details of Appointment: Fixed term, part-time, day worker position working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months, notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed-term full-time, part-time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $120,114 - $134,268 per annum. Our employer's 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. You’ll have access to salary package and a range of benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: A market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is approved until 17 May 2026; this allowance will be reviewed prior to expiry. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
