Located in the heart of the wine and snow region of North East Victoria, our practice is looking for a dedicated, hard-working dental assistant to be a part of our work family.

We are a busy surgery which has been established for over 30 years. Our highly experienced team of dentists and support staff is committed to helping our patients achieve the very best dental health in a friendly and relaxed environment. Currently we have six dentists, working between four surgery rooms overlooking the picturesque Ovens River.

Experience in working in the dental field is preferred but NOT essential. However, a great attitude and a cheerful demeanour with the willingness to learn and excel is a MUST! Training and mentoring will be provided by our experienced and friendly team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, friendly, self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a team environment, strives to provide great customer service and is willing to go that extra mile! Great pay rate, negotiable depending on experience and existing qualifications.

Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g. fillings, crowns, extractions). Handle suction devices and dental materials. Follow infection control protocols and all health and safety regulations. Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment. Pour up and polish dental models for lab procedures. Ensure patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their visit. Maintain accurate patient records and update dental charts. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Manage patient flow and schedule appointments when necessary. Assist with administrative and cleaning duties as needed. Our surgery operates Monday to Friday, with late appointments until 7pm on Wednesdays. The successful applicant needs to be available for part-time or casual work schedules and will be required to commence as soon as possible.
