About the Role: As a personal support worker, you will be supporting our clients with daily living. We offer flexible shifts to suit you, including weekends, active overnights, and sleepover shifts.
During your shifts, you will: assist clients with transfers in and out of beds and wheelchairs, using hoists when required. Personal care: grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management. Basic wound care and self-medication. Domestic support such as meal preparation, light household duties, and laundry. Community access, such as driving to appointments and social activities.
About You: We are looking to employ individuals who are passionate about caring for and supporting people to live independently in their own homes. You will be someone who has an empathetic nature, a positive attitude, and can communicate honestly and effectively with clients. You treat others with dignity, respect, and without judgement, and you can work independently.
Experience is not required for this role, as we provide extensive training through our Registered Nurses and Key Support Workers.
You must hold a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle. A smartphone device. A current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) and/or a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain. Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module, or willingness to complete. Flexibility to work a fixed fortnightly roster with varying shift times.
