NDIS Support Coordinator, Atlas Disability Support. Liverpool, Sydney, NSW. Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development). Contract/Temp. $50-$55 per hour. Atlas Disability Support is a registered NDIS service provider focused on delivering quality services to people living with disabilities who require various levels of support. We support people with intellectual, physical, complex, and psychosocial disabilities all across Sydney, mainly around Western and South West Sydney. About the Role: We are looking for reliable, skilled, and experienced independent contractors (with ABN) to join the Atlas Support Coordination Team. As an NDIS Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in assisting participants to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with participants to understand their NDIS plans, connect them with appropriate services, and support them in achieving their goals. You will be responsible for coordinating a range of supports, including mainstream, informal, community, and funded supports, ensuring that participants have access to the resources and services they need to live their best lives. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the NDIS, and a passion for empowering individuals with disabilities to reach their full potential.
What you need to succeed: Knowledge/experience in support coordination. Knowledge of the NDIS rules, including provisions relating to reasonable and necessary supports and price guides
Sound understanding of the complex needs of people with disability and their families caregivers, or nominees. Fluency in a community language, Arabic, is desirable. Experience in developing and implementing person-centred approaches that support people to build their capacity for choice and control over their own lives. Experience in working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds is desirable. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and client database systems and excellent report writing, time management and record-keeping skills
Mandatory requirements: Current drivers license and willingness to use own vehicle (with comprehensive insurance) for work-related travel and to transport people we support if required. Have own ABN and can work as a contractor. Ability to travel within metro Sydney. NSW Working with Children Check (Service NSW). NDIS Worker Screening Check (Service NSW). You must have the right to work in Australia.
