Business Development Manager, High-end Lighting Sales, Specify Consulting. West Melbourne, Melbourne VIC. New Business Development (Sales). Company: Our client is a design-focused leader in the high-end lighting solutions space. Due to company growth, they now require a Business Development Manager to join their friendly team in Melbourne. They offer high-end residential and commercial lighting products to Specifiers, Architects, Designers, Builders and retail customers. They have built a solid reputation in Australia through strong brand recognition and offering exemplary service. They invest a lot of time and development into their team members and are fully committed to developing you as a sales professional.

Opportunity

As a BDM in VIC, your primary responsibility is to maintain and develop key clients in the Melbourne area. These will consist of Engineering Consultants, Architects, Lighting Designers & Builders. This role will see you on the road visiting clients as well as being a part of the wider team within the business.

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a consultative design function and possess a natural sales ability. They will provide you with all the support you require to thrive and develop within the business. Offering a relaxed environment and realistic sales targets, this opportunity is not one to be missed.

Due to the strong onboarding and training on offer, our client is open to someone coming from a sales, project management / coordination or lighting design background.

Skills & Experience: We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate one or more of the following skills and experience: Experience in a consultative, design-led sales opportunity. Lighting sales and design experience is highly regarded. Exposure to the lighting industry in either a sales, project management or lighting design capacity. Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long-term career role. High degree of energy, self-motivation and desire to be rewarded with your hard efforts. A strong understanding of Interior Design with applicable qualifications is advantageous
