Housekeeping (Hospitality & Tourism). Part time

The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward-thinking, progressive Aged Care organisation in our Hospitality / Cleaning team as a permanent part-time Cleaner / Housekeeper.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, thriving in a fast-paced environment where your efforts make a tangible difference to our residents.

What you’ll do and be responsible for: Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.

Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.

Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.

Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.

Housekeeping & Environment: Identify and report housekeeping and maintenance issues

Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.

What you’ll need to succeed: Experience in commercial cleaning operations in either a hotel, aged care or hospital environment (Essential). Ability to follow procedures. Experience working within designated timeframes. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; listening, written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

It would be helpful if you had (but is not essential to apply for the role)

A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to apply)
