Operations Manager, Care for Hedland Environmental Association Inc., Port Hedland, Port Hedland, Karratha & Pilbara WA, General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management). Full time. $115,400 – $125,000 per year.

Care For Hedland is an independent environmental interest group, established in 2003, pursuing a shared vision of environmental awareness and sustainability improvements within our local community. Our programs and activities range from Marine and Coastal biodiversity, including Turtle Monitoring, Recycling and Waste Prevention, Waste Management, Gardening and Sustainable Living, and Environmental Education, along with a variety of initiatives and events.

To manage and support the operations and governance of the Association, we are looking for a team player with strong governance and management background, a deep love and care for the environment, and a lot of initiative! You will be responsible for the operational management of the Association’s governance, programs, staff, communications, partnerships, reporting and financials. You will also be the operational leader and face for Care For Hedland. Occasionally there will be some intra- and interstate travel required.

Remuneration: A remuneration package is offeredbased on the SACS WA Award level 8 (above-award up to $125,000) plus statutory superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave, location allowance as per the Award and professional development and training opportunities. There is no house provided as part of this role.

What kind of experience are we seeking? Ideally, you will have a strong governance, financial, partnershipand reporting background. As well as well-developed leadership experience in working with a Committee, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional experience in managing a medium-sized not-for-profit business would be a much appreciated add-on.
