They provide practical, innovative services that help financially distressed businesses recover or at least minimize the negative impacts of insolvency.

We are seeking an experienced finance manager to join the Sydney office located in the heart of the CBD. We are looking for a candidate who has industry knowledge, has a good work ethic and is eager to work and grow with the company.

Job tasks and responsibilities of this role. Oversee financial operations and strategies. Advise courses of action to Management based on reports and data interpretation. Liaising with creditors and all stakeholders involved in various administrations. Conducting investigations and attending to the necessary statutory reporting. Working as part of a team on a variety of cases. Prepare of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting. Manage budgeting and short- and long-term financial plans. Act as the primary point of contact between internal and external stakeholders discussing plans with agreed-upon course of action. Manage budgeting and short- and long-term financial plans. Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function.

Liaise with auditors to ensure financial compliance. Update and align policies and procedures with legislation and regulation. Present and provide financial reports and interpret financial data to management. Analyze business performance and financial status of operations against budget and create action and contingency plans. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. Develop forecasting trends and projections. Allocate and distribute earning and funding. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, supplier payments, customer invoicing, and other transactions.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria: Evidence of at least 5 years of full-time relevant work experience. Minimum two-year experience working in insolvency or the financial sector (preferred). Qualifications (not essential) or Related Education in the Financial Services Sector. Proficient understanding and knowledge of relevant statutory legislation and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Exceptional data interpretation and presentation skills. Proficient knowledge of financial statistics and accounting principles. Attention to detail and time management skills.
