Field Assistant, Protech SEQ. Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast QLD. Conservation, Parks & Wildlife (Farming, Animals & Conservation). Contract/Temp. $34.65 p/h, 9-day fortnight. Protech are currently seeking Field Officers to work from the Gold Coast depot with the Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queensland. This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.

Key Duties: Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects. Daily reporting tasks, data collection and record keeping. Driving Company vehicle.

Mandatory Position Requirements: Open car licence. Ability to work in a team environment. Previous outdoor work experience in Landscaping, agriculture, Arboriculture, Land Management and Conservation, and civil. Face-to-face customer service experience. Must be physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to 10 km per day. Pass a drug and alcohol screen. Must be able to complete and pass a Police check.
