About the Role: The Senior Manager is a member of the Minda Senior Leadership Team.
The position is responsible for leading and managing an area of Home and Living clusters, which are geographically co-located homes of Minda clients. The Senior Manager is accountable for ensuring customer service excellence to our clients, their families and support networks. Accordingly, exceptional interpersonal skills will be required to ensure appropriate management of organisational issues, negotiating individual service agreements and client outcomes, and developing and motivating geographically dispersed staff who work rotating shifts across the 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for efficient and effective service delivery across an area of services, leading their team of Cluster Managers to provide outstanding support and deliver high-quality, person-centered active support. The provision of services is delivered using best practice approach.

In this role, you will be responsible for: Ensuring the provision of a warm, caring, supportive and stimulating environments for all persons being supported by Minda Services utilising the principles and objectives of the Disability Services Act (1993) and the current National Standards for Disability Services.
Ensuring the implementation of an individualised approach to service planning across multiple life domains using contemporary and appropriate tools by cluster areas. Ensuring individuals are empowered to meet and exceed the highest possible quality of life outcome-related targets and goals. Monitoring the engagement with Clients and Nominees in the development of the Home and Living submission and Roster of Care. Providing sound leadership, direction and advice to direct reports and relevant staff in the performance of their duties, monitor performance and regularly provide feedback.
Developing a supportive environment that fosters open communication, collaboration, innovative problem solving, performance accountability, a high-level service culture and the enablement of individuals to contribute to the best of their capability. Overseeing the recruitment, induction, training and supervision of direct reports. Establishing relevant performance objectives and measures for direct reports and ensuring performance management and development activity is conducted, i.e. Annual formal performance and development reviews.
Implementing operational plans and monitoring progress towards the achievement of business unit goals, managing operational performance to ensure continuity of service delivery
Monitoring performance analytics including leave accrual (including management of excess annual and sick leave), salaries, expenditure progress reports, etc. and taking corrective action as required.
Monitoring and reporting on expenditure and resource utilisation, ensuring expenditure is within budget guidelines, including capital expenditure purchases as per approved capital budget and time frames.
Our Ideal Candidate: Experience in a relevant leadership role working within the Disability, aging Care, Human services, Community or health-related areas. Proven ability to work in partnership with clients, families, other stakeholders and staff to achieve positive outcomes, including the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of clients and their families. Demonstrable understanding of the issues involved in supporting and caring for disabled and/or ageing people with diverse value systems, cultural differences and special needs. Proven resilience and ability to maintain a positive, calm focus under pressure to meet deadlines.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
Ability to prepare concise, well-written and objective business cases, reports, funding applications and submissions. Proven capacity to effectively lead and manage change and facilitate and apply continuous improvement strategies. Proven experience in risk management and mitigation and complex stakeholder relationship management.
Qualifications Required: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, i.e., disability, health, human/Community services or management. Relevant post graduate tertiary business or management qualification together with membership/eligibility for membership of a relevant professional/industry association is desirable.
Additionally, you will need NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Valid DHS Disability Screening). NDIS Worker Orientation Module. Current South Australian Driver's License. Unrestricted Working Rights within Australia.
