About the role: As a paper mill operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of our paper manufacturing equipment.  This position involves working on a rotating 12-hour shift roster to support continuous 24/7 operations.

Reporting to the Shift Foreman, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Operate and monitor paper manufacturing machinery, including but not limited to pulping, refining, forming, pressing, drying, and finishing equipment.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates smoothly and safely. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Monitor process parameters and adjust settings as necessary to meet quality standards and production targets. Maintain accurate production records and report any abnormalities or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

What you will bring to the team: Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting machine or equipment issues. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including manual handling, which will be performed during shift work. Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
