Find us at cpsanz.com: The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and documenting requirements for the migration of on-premise big data Hadoop environments to AWS. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, mapping existing systems to new AWS solutions, and ensuring successful execution of the migration strategy.
The Tech BA will work closely with data engineers, architects, and other business analysts to define migration requirements, create detailed documentation, and ensure that all technical and business needs are met during the transition from on-premise Hadoop to AWS. The role involves leveraging deep knowledge of both Hadoop and AWS technologies to facilitate a smooth and effective migration process.
AWS Run Book Experience is a must, along with the below skills: Analyze existing on-premise Hadoop infrastructure and identify key components for migration. Gather and document business and technical requirements for migration to AWS. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of migration strategy with business objectives. Create and maintain detailed migration documentation, including data mapping and transformation requirements. Develop and validate test cases to ensure the accuracy and performance of the migrated data. Coordinate with data engineers and architects to design the target AWS environment. Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to address any migration issues. Support the creation of project plans, timelines, and milestones for the migration process. Perform impact analysis to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies. Assist in the development of migration tools and scripts as needed. Review and validate data migration results to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and target systems. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during the migration process. Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports on migration progress and outcomes. Coordinate with AWS support and other external vendors as required. Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall project strategy. Monitor and assess the performance of the migrated systems and recommend improvements. Facilitate user training and support for new AWS tools and processes. Document lessons learned and best practices for future migration projects.
