Alice Springs Campus: Deliver a range information, research and instructional support to staff and students at Charles Darwin University (CDU).
About the Position: As an Academic and Research Librarian, you will deliver a range of services in an online-first environment providing the CDU community with information, research and instructional support aligned to the university’s research, learning and teaching priorities. You will provide leadership and professional advice to ensure staff and students in designated colleges/ discipline areas are supported in the development and maintenance of skills and knowledge required for successful academic endeavors.
About You To be successful, you will require: Degree in Library and Information Science with the ability to demonstrate relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training which would allow professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Experience in the delivery of professional research and information services, contemporary knowledge of scholarly resources in all formats, interview techniques, and collection development principles and practices. Advanced digital literacy skills and experience in a wide range of electronic resources, systems and software used in a tertiary library environment. Experience in developing educational resources and materials using a range of technologies for delivery in an online-first environment. Experience in delivering training programs in areas such as information and/or digital literacy and research skills and knowledge and understanding of pedagogical models and best practices in student learning. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with professional and academic staff and students. Remuneration: Appointment to this role will be at Professional 6/7 Salary. The base salary will be in the range of $84,931– $100,594 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $99,369 - $117,694 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
