Could you be the operations manager for Sydney Light Rail that we're looking for, based out of our Lilyfield depot?

Your future role: Alstom is hiring an operations manager for a full-time permanent role to oversee the Sydney Light Rail Lilyfield and Randwick depot facilities. In this key position, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safety compliance, measure, and drive performance improvements.

We'll look to you for: Overseeing the overall scope and teams at Lilyfield and Randwick depots. Ensuring 100% compliance with Alstom safety rules and guidelines and managing EHS topics to assure safety. Managing rolling stock (RS) units in the depot, ensuring performance and availability meet planned objectives. Mobilizing and maintaining resource availability, especially technicians, as per the contract requirements, and working closely with HR on recruitment and retention initiatives. Overseeing mixed fleet operations (MFO) without affecting current operations and ensuring fleet availability and contractual performance.

Collaborating with Sydney Light Rail infrastructure teams to implement and manage site processes, logistics, and infrastructure. Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and acting as the customer's preferred contact. Using KPIs to monitor performance, manage risks, savings, and opportunities, and support workforce motivation and engagement.

All about you: Tertiary engineering degree. Demonstrated experience in the railway industry or an adjacent sector. Experience in fleet operations and site process implementation. Proven ability to lead teams, including maintenance, testing& commissioning technicians. Strong understanding of EHS topics, railway systems, and reliability growth principles.
