Location: Studio in St Agnes (North East Adelaide); Location photoshoots across Adelaide.

Type: Contractor: 1-2 shoots per month initially, with potential for more based on performance

Compensation: $200 per 1-hour shoot on weekdays, $300 on weekends, plus travel allowance for more than 25 km.

Established in Melbourne in 2006 and relocated to Adelaide in 2017, we are a team of dedicated photographers recognised as one of the premier luxury studios in Adelaide. We are known for our high standards of photographic artwork and exceptional client experience. We ensure each photoshoot is tailored to the unique needs of each family, involving a detailed planning process to guarantee stunning results. Our client experience consists of a 15-minute initial phone consultation to quote, a 30-minute planning appointment at our studio, the photography and an in-person sales appointment after the photoshoot. Your role in this client experience journey is photography only.

Responsibilities: Conduct 1-2 photoshoots per month, primarily after-hours (weekends and weekday evenings). There may be weekday daytime shoots for the right candidate if they want extra work. Execute detailed shoot briefs provided by our studio assistant, We have prepared the client with wardrobe, styling, and product selections so you can focus on the photography. Photoshoot locations vary based on our wide client base across Adelaide. Mainly outdoor shoots either locally to our studio in the North East or in the Adelaide Hills, such as Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens or the beautiful beaches of Adelaide and beyond.

Cull the files and Deliver 80–100 RAW files to the studio within 24 hours post-shoot for sales preparation. You are not required to edit any photos beyond culling down to 100 images per session. You must be open to feedback from the studio manager, as we want the right candidate to stay with us long-term. Engage with clients to understand their vision and deliver high-quality, artistic photographs that capture the essence of their families and tell the story of the family.

Requirements: At least 2 years industry experience. The more experienced photographers will be shortlisted. Proven experience in a similar role, with a portfolio showcasing natural, candid photography and skill in posing diverse body types, is a must. A bubbly personality that puts clients at ease and makes them look their best. A keen eye and attention to small details such as hair and wardrobe ensure images are captured well in camera and less editing required.

Creative flair and the ability to adapt to various lighting and weather conditions (Problem-solving skills to achieve the best results no matter where the photoshoot is). You must have great ability to work under pressure. Strong rapport-building skills to make clients feel comfortable from the first interaction. Ability to anticipate and capture dynamic interactions within families. Flexibility, honesty, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow with the company. Must own professional camera equipment (at least two bodies and a variety of any of these lenses 24-70, 70-200, 35mm, 50mm & 85mm, and flash) and a reliable car. You are responsible for regular maintenance and cleaning of your own equipment.

You must have a registered business ABN and fully insured. Knowledge of great shooting locations in and around Adelaide. Efficiency in conducting photography sessions within 60 minutes, regardless of the shoot type (couple, maternity, newborn, young kids, multi-generation), comes from years of experience and the right candidate will be able to do this easily. Willingness to travel to various locations as requested by clients. Commitment to learning and growing within the role, with potential to take on more responsibilities in the future. Experience with in-person sales and/or studio photography is a bonus; however, we do provide full training Should the right candidate want more work, we can look at offering this role to them at the studio.
