Responsibilities: Assess site and terrain before operations. Assist forestry workers. Operate machines to transport trees from logging areas to landing or log loading sites in mountainous terrain. Remove debris from logging site landing area. Credentials. Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses. First Aid Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Experience and specialization. Type of harvesting. Pulpwood harvesting. I saw log harvesting. Type of logging. Clear cutting (patch logging). Selective cutting. Equipment and machinery experience. Grapple. Treelength forwarder.
