What you’ll need (selection criteria): An experienced social worker willing to take on a dual role as a behavior support practitioner: You are an experienced mental health social worker with a proven ability to provide individual and group support covering a variety of issues, including trauma, grief and loss, mental health, counseling, and substance use. We are seeking candidates who are either deemed suitable or interested in starting the self-assessment application for the entry-level pathway as behavior support practitioners, in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's NDIS capability framework.
You will have high-level skills in reflective practice and problem-solving, with the ability to apply initiative and make informed judgements in the proactive management of complex situations, including responding to critical incidents such as sexual assault disclosures, acute mental health risks, domestic violence, and children at risk.
You also have experience supporting clients navigating the NDIS and have an understanding of NDIS practices and updated legislation. You have extensive experience in working collaboratively with clients, their families, carers, and clinicians' services to conduct thorough assessments, identify needs, aspirations, and goals, and facilitate warm referrals and other referrals to partner agencies and services as needed. You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Your ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders is crucial for success in this role.

Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work with current and full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Training Development: Ability to develop, prepare, present, and evaluate training packages for individuals and groups.
Innovative Problem Solver: Ability to think innovatively, work autonomously, and solve problems effectively.
