Ardent Medical is a general practice group that provides primary care and general practice services to Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs). We are currently seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse with aged care experience to join our nursing team. This is not an aging nursing role. Instead, you will work as an assistant to our GPs and provide primary care and other GP services to elderly residents.

This role will see the successful candidate: work part-time for 22 hours per week with opportunity to increase hours based on performance, work as an assistant to our General practitioners, and provide primary care services to residents in RACFs.

This may include: taking medical history, undertaking clinical examination, arranging any necessary investigations, implementing a management plan, providing appropriate preventive health care, working in the Geelong area, working in collaboration with the aged care nurses to keep up to date with all residents under our GP's care, assisting with health assessments for new resident admissions and annual reviews for existing residents, ensuring resident care plans are updated every 3 months and ready for review by the General Practitioner, and organizing, coordinating, and participating in multidisciplinary case conferences liaise, update and seek consent from families on behalf of our GPs following a clinical decision or action, manage the General Practitioner’s appointment book and referral and assessment paperwork; ensure all medical notes are updated on all computer systems; and assist with any other tasks as directed.

The successful candidate: is registered with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse, ideally has worked in aged care or in a primary healthcare setting, has a work visa and is presently permitted to work in Australia, must have their own professional indemnity insurance (a copy of your policy must be provided to Ardent Medical for record purposes), has a great attitude and is able to work in collaboration with our General Practitioner, is committed to the company and a team player, has basic computer knowledge and has good social and communication skills.
