About the role: HSEQ Advisor; FIFO 2:1 Roster. Based on site, you will be championing our busy civil projects, which play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and the protection of our environment. You will be strongly supported by our HSEQT manager, HSEQ advisors, administrators, and training team. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in health and safety within the civil construction industry. This position requires strong administrative skills, as it will assist in the development and recording of project safety information.
(In addition to this role, we are also seeking a permanent Trainer and Assessor (TAE) with a Heavy Plant background (mandatory) of 5 years or more; if this is you, you may prefer to apply for our Heavy Plant Trainer and Assessor role.)
Role requirements: Passion for the job! FIFO 2:1 roster. Demonstrate knowledge and practical application of WHS legislation and Industry regulations. Demonstrate a proven commitment to safety, teamed with the ability to drive a positive safety culture. Prepare and monitor HSEQ project documentation. Experience in the completion of internal inspections and audits. Preparation of HSEQ reports to present to the client on a regular basis. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent computer skills with a sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite. Strong administration skills and knowledge. Current First Aid certification. Communicating HSEQ needs and alerts to the team on the job through pre-starts, toolbox, and safety meetings. Construction industry White card. Current unrestricted C driver’s license (minimum). The ability to coordinate drug and alcohol testing is highly regarded. Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent (minimum). Undertake pre-employment medicals, including drug and alcohol testing.
Highly favourable: Cert IV Training and Assessing (highly desirable). Heavy earthmoving operator experience. Cert III: Civil Construction. HLTPAT004: Collect pathology specimens other than blood (or equivalent).
