About Us: Duntec is a leading supplier of fuel storage and refuelling systems for industrial and retail fuel facilities across Western Australia. With a small but dynamic team, our established business has successfully operated in the Perth region and rural, remote areas for the past 12 years. As we continue to grow, we are actively seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our busy statewide operations and to enhance and refine our productivity strategies.
Position Overview: We are looking for an Operations Manager who will take ownership and actively contribute to the ongoing progress and growth of our company. Your ability to prioritize, see the big picture, and handle issues calmly and effectively as they arise will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities: Handle customer relationship management. Receive and take action phone calls as required. Ensure all paperwork, documentation, and steps are completed accurately and on time. Participate in and sometimes run toolbox meetings. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Carry out purchasing tasks to source parts in a timely and cost-effective manner. Oversee stock control. Oversee daily site operations and identify continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee equipment and warehouse maintenance. Assist with special projects, reporting, and general administration. Ensure KPI targets and quality standards are met. Set the standard for all contractors, including but not limited to OH&S, general conduct, and behavior. Drive a positive work culture and environment within the workplace. Engage with the team to maintain effective and open communication. Comply with company policies and practices.
Qualifications and Skills: Previous management or supervisory experience in a similar role. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a workshop team within a manufacturing and/or service role. Exceptional ability to multitask, plan, prioritize, and manage fluctuations. Ability to manage a team of 5+ staff. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and ability to produce quality work. Efficient work habits and excellent time management skills. Self-motivated and reliable. Strong focus on OH&S. Computer literacy with competent use of Excel and Word. Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive work ethic. C-Class Driver’s License.
