Marine Mechanic, Neptune Marine Oceania. Slacks Creek, Brisbane, QLD. Technicians (Trades & Services). Full time. $30 – $45 per hour. Neptune Marine is a growing Tohatsu & Honda Outboard sales and service and new boat sales business based in Slacks Creek. We are seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic / Technician to provide a high level of professionalism and expertise to satisfy the needs of our clients for both the service and delivery of new boats and outboards.

This role is a Monday-to-Friday long-term, full-time position in a well-established small business. Responsibilities include the day-to-day tasks in the workshop, involving problem diagnosis, repairs and maintenance, servicing outboards and pre-delivery work to new and used outboards, New boat fitouts, minor trailer repairs and electronic fit-ups.

The applicant must: Have proven marine industry experience working on outboard motors. Have excellent working knowledge of 2 & 4-stroke engines. (Tohatsu/Honda training or qualification would be advantageous). Have experience in using electronic diagnostic equipment, including Tohatsu and Honda-specific equipment (Ongoing Honda and Tohatsu factory training is provided). Be self-motivated, reliable, committed to working in a team environment and have a willingness to learn. Be physically fit, thorough and have a positive, can-do attitude. Have the ability to train an apprentice. Have a current driver’s license, boat license and forklift license. Have strong communication skills for speaking with clients or suppliers when occasion arises. Have the ability to be proactive in regards to workshop efficiency, organisation, ordering of parts and maintaining stock.

3rd and 4th year Marine Apprentices are welcome to apply.
