About the Opportunity Fairfield Hospital Pharmacy Department is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacist with a keen interest in patient safety. This role entails delivering a comprehensive array of Pharmacy services to both inpatients and outpatients of the hospital. These services encompass dispensing, distribution, manufacturing, and clinical services, all while emphasizing the pivotal role of safety and quality in drug therapy.

The position also involves participation in enhancing quality and professional development, as well as contributing to the education and supervision of fellow staff and students.

What You'll be Doing Provision of a wide range of Pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients of the hospital, including dispensing, distribution and manufacturing services, as well as clinical services. Promotion of both safety and quality as key aspects of drug therapy. Participation in quality improvement and professional development, as well contribution to education and supervision of other staff and students.

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff, patients and carers. Experience in the provision of clinical Pharmacy services, preferably in a hospital setting, consistent with the Standards of Practice of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia. Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and experience in applying that knowledge appropriately to clinical settings. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams; Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and supervise the activities of support staff. Proven organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise according to organizational needs. Demonstrated understanding and application of quality improvement methodology.
