About the company Our client is a leading Australian Brand who is at the forefront of their market. They are undergoing an overhaul and uplift on their Digital product offering and and are now looking for a Front End Engineer who is skilled in design systems.

About the role The opportunity is for someone who is strong across front end engineering and design systems. You will connect both design and tech, creating seamless ux and high quality code. Our client is yet to build out their design system capability. Currently they have a Figma design system that doesn't map the technology. The key to them enabling acceleration is getting the design system rolled out. The role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation.

About you: Strong capability around front end technology, with confidence in setting the right direction. Ability to communicate with cross functional teams. 5+ years’ experience with front end technologies such as React, Next.JS, Typescript, Tailwind. Good experience with design systems previously.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design new components. Create and maintain a shared Front-End Design System to serve all teams and align with the company’s overall vision. Develop complex UI components using React. Assist in the unification process of various products into a single platform. Communicate effectively with design and development teams to ensure that component design and functionality aligns with UI/UX best practices and company standards.
