Chinese-speaking Speaking pathologist, Music Therapist, and physiotherapist. Allied Rehab, Burwood, Sydney, NSW. Speech therapy (healthcare & medical). Contract/Temp.: $135 – $168 per hour.
We are seeking skilled and motivated Allied Health Professionals to join our team on a casual or contract basis. Our mobile allied health service is dedicated to providing high-quality therapy to people of all ages and abilities.
NB: We are also seeking more OT and psychologists as our caseload keeps growing.
Position One: Speech Language Pathologist. This role will be predominately look after participants of NDIS, e.g. children with ASD/GDD, adults who had SCI or CVA, etc. Other caseload (e.g. elderly care) will also be available.
Responsibilities: Provide assessments and treatment in the community NDIS space. Experience to operate with some degree of independence. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
Position Two: Music Therapist
This role works with NDIS clients with a range of health conditions, giving you the opportunity for variety.
Responsibilities: Conducting individual music therapy sessions for clients with various mental health conditions, disabilities, or special needs. Utilizing a range of music therapy techniques to facilitate therapeutic outcomes. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients. Documenting clients' progress in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Position Three: Community Physiotherapist. This role will be predominately look after adult with NDIS funding (e.g. patients with neurological conditions) and elderly clients with HCP funding (e.g. clients with reduced mobility and chronic pain). Other caseload (e.g. pediatrics, mental health) are optional but not compulsory.
Responsibilities: conducting home visits to conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical abilities, functional limitations, and mobility challenges. Developing individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to the specific needs of clients. Providing hands-on physiotherapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility aids prescription, to improve clients' strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility. Collaborating with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Educating clients and caregivers on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and adaptive techniques to promote independence and improve quality of life.
Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or regulating body (e.g. SPA, AMTA). Working with Children Check. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. driver's license and access to a car are preferred. Mandarin and/or Cantonese are preferred.
