Job description The Company: Sono Japanese Restaurant, Portside is an award-winning restaurant located in Hamilton, QLD. With its unrivalled Brisbane River view, Sono Japanese Restaurant provides customers with an authentic and premium fine dining experience. Sono Japanese Restaurant is open six (6) days a week.

Salary Range:  starting from  $70,000 to $75,000 (plus superannuation) and bonuses.

The Role We are currently looking for an experienced, full-time Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team.

The duties of the position include but are not limited to: Leading by example and being a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with Sono’s core values and culture. Delivering superior customer service and maximizing customer satisfaction. Responding efficiently and accurately to customer requirements. Appraising staff performance and providing feedback to improve productivity. Organizing and supervising shifts. Maintaining standards of cleanliness & hygiene and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. Managing Sono's brand and good image and suggesting ways to improve it. Creating detailed daily financial reporting to oversee the overall performance of the venue. Implementing policies and protocols that will maintain restaurant operations.

Must have: Minimum 2 years of relevant and proven work experience in a similar environment; be able to lead a team; Able to work day or night shifts, including weekends; Have exceptional organizational, rostering and cost control skills Genuinely enthusiastic and hardworking.

Staff meals, training and regular hours will be provided to the right candidate, that shows they are able to work hard as well as display an eye for quality and detail in their daily work. Hours will mainly consist of shift work, with weekend shifts required. We are seeking a dedicated person for a long-term commitment with our restaurant.
