Scrum Master, Halcyon Knights Pty Ltd. Canberra ACT. Programme & Project Management (Information & Communication Technology). Contract/Temp. Our Federal Government Agency seeks to engage qualified & experienced Scrum Master to deliver & support ICT projects/programs. The Scrum Masters will be required to facilitate Agile ceremonies, help to build a high performing team, support the Product Owner, & remove or mitigate delivery impediments, issues, and risks.

Responsibilities: Agile Ceremony Oversight: effectively lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives) using SAFe methodology. Reporting and Dashboard Management: Review and analyze reports and dashboards on sprint and program deliverables. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to leadership/management. Managing and prioritizing the product backlog. Ensure alignment with key deliverables and strategic goals.

Maintain open communication channels and provide visibility into the Agile Delivery Team's (ADT) progress and challenges. Ensuring transparency within the team and with stakeholders. Identify, remove, and resolve delivery impediments and issues. Assist in mitigating and managing risks within agreed tolerances. Dependency Coordination & align efforts across multiple ADTs. Guide and support AEC staff in adhering to Agile principles, practices, and SAFe framework guidelines.

Cultivate and maintain strategic professional relationships with business partners, vendors, and representatives from other government agencies. Facilitate effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

Essential Experience: Experience and Certification: Over 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master with industry-recognized certifications. Strong understanding of SAFe methodology, preferably within a government context.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and negotiate with diverse audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement and Teamwork: Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and teamwork. Ability to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes.

Priority Management and Flexibility: Experience managing competing priorities and strategic directions. Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to change and uncertainty.

Discretion and Integrity: Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Proficiency in IT and Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using IT applications and project management tools (e.g., MS Suite, Azure DevOps, Miro).

Desirable Capabilities: Certification or demonstrated experience in SAFe Agile methodologies. Tertiary qualifications or certifications in Management, Project Management, or related fields. Experience managing or delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs/projects within an Australian Government setting.

Job Details: Start 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 with 2x12 months extensions on offer. Locations: ACT Canberra Office / Hybrid Work arrangements. You must be an Australian Citizen & hold or be able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
