About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Mobile Patrol Operations Manager to take on full responsibility for overseeing the performance and operation of mobile patrols within the designated region. This pivotal role requires strong leadership, strategic direction, and effective issue resolution to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Description Key Duties include: Leadership Responsibilities. Provide clear communication and direction to the Mobile Patrols Team on expectations and priorities. Set objectives for staff to meet client expectations. Plan and organize sufficient resources for the portfolio. Establish clear reporting structures for subordinate personnel. Support and address staff performance issues promptly and professionally. Participate in recruiting and retaining high-quality Mobile patrol officers. Provide visible leadership and conduct quarterly random patrol ride-along. Hold regular meetings to review performance, set action plans, and agree on timelines.
Provide timely information on performance, variances, and action plans to State and other Managers. Manage overheads, including resourcing, labour utilization, and cost analysis. Monitor claims, customer complaints, staff issues, and capital expenditure. Identify training requirements and ensure appropriate on-the-job training.
Performance Management Liaise with clients to optimize service delivery and client satisfaction. Manage client inquiries and meet regularly to discuss improvements. Oversee fleet management, including procurement and maintenance. Analyze data for run optimization and manage missed and replacement patrols. Maintain accurate day-to-day management of patrol keys. Oversee the maintenance of Patrol Depots, including leasing and cleaning services. Manage employee rosters and monitor daily patrol performance. Plan for future requirements and provide recommendations to the State Manager.
Address contractor performance issues and explore new business opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies, and state, and federal legislation. Handle issue resolution, performance management, and disciplinary matters. Conduct periodic audits on contractual arrangements to ensure service delivery.
Financial Management Review and understand P&L summaries and their impact on the patrol business. Manage procurement of vehicles, equipment, and signage. Engage in rate negotiations with sub-contractors. Research providers to reduce fleet maintenance costs.
Reporting Provide regular, accurate, and timely reporting on run performance to the State/Regional General Manager. Address and communicate actions taken on resourcing and cost control. Ensure compliance with company procedures for reporting. Review audit report outcomes and implement corrective actions. Report on market intelligence and future infrastructure requirements. Identify and address potential WH&S issues.
General Duties Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation for efficient operations and compliance. Complete assigned training modules within set timeframes. Foster a culture of compliance and lead by example. Ensure marketing materials meet Australian Consumer Law requirements. Adhere to Mobile Patrol SOPs and company values. Take reasonable care of health and safety and report hazards. Set team objectives in line with the yearly PDR process. Support team development through effective communication and meaningful work. Identify and support training opportunities. Monitor and maintain compliance with policies and legislative requirements. Escalate risk issues to the manager. Complete other reasonable directives as assigned by your manager.
Profile Skills and requirements: Broad experience in aspects relating to the Security Industry, analysis and cost control over a multi-site operation and patrols. Demonstrated computer literacy in programs such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook. Understanding of rostering, cost analysis and resource control. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Broad understanding of legislative requirements in relation to OH&S, IR, EEO. Demonstrated experience in meeting high-level client requirements. Strong ability to provide clear communication and direction to staff members and colleagues at all levels. Demonstrated experience in time management. Sound reasoning, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
