Senior IT Officer – Servers, Department of Health. Hobart TAS. Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology). Government - State (Government & Defence). Full time. $95,393 - $100,067 per annum + 11% superannuation.
In partnership with Department of Health (DoH) stakeholders, and under the direction of the Manager - Servers, the Senior IT Officer - Servers will support operational management of DoH computer, storage and core infrastructure to ensure continuity of service delivery.
The Senior IT Officer - Servers will undertake research, analysis and technical activities required to design, develop, commission, maintain, administer and support both in-house and externally provided IT computer and storage infrastructure services.
The Role:
Administer and support DoH computer and storage environments, including: Assist with server and storage design and development. Plan, assist and implement system upgrades. Report, track, troubleshoot and resolve issues. Daily operations. Monitoring, auditing, capacity and performance planning of ICT Infrastructure. Production of Technician documentation and ability to translate technical information into business language. Provide second and third level technical support.
Undertake investigations and research related to server and storage administration and support, security, integration and overall lifecycle management. Advise and guide other team members and staff on server and storage techniques for the development of sound ICT practices.

Details of Appointment Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $95,393 - $100,067 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
