Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage a finance / ops team of two plus overseeing delivery of our outsourced payroll partner and providing daily support to your team. Continue improving automation and work efficiency while implementing new procedures. Partner with the senior leadership team on strategic growth initiatives. Lead and manage annual budgeting and monthly forecasting meetings. Prepare commission reports and work papers for consultants. Liaise and complete reports and audits for state and federal regulatory bodies including PRT, Workcover, Labour hire licenses, WGEA, and others.
Analyse and critically review financial and management accounting reports to provide decision support, value-added analysis, and insights to stakeholders to drive improvements & efficiency. Lead and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the Finance department including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and compliance with Australian Taxation Legislation. Preparing weekly PAYG, monthly superannuation compliance, quarterly BAS. Preparing month end Balance Sheet, P&L, cash flow forecast and other management reports and investigating variances.
Oversee month-end accounting processes, including reconciliations, and reporting consolidations. Assist with audits and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct analysis of financial data to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Lead cash flow management and forecasting efforts to optimize financial resources. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff. Maintain a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting work-life balance and professional growth opportunities.
Supporting the management of annual financial audit. Liaison with external auditors. Ensure Management at all levels are provided with timely, accurate reports & advice to enhance & increase the performance of the business.
About you: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Recruitment Industry experience essential. Proven experience in financial management. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all our offices. Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and informal work environment, with a passion for supporting employee growth and development.
