About the role Reporting to the Unit Manager Marketing and Communications we are seeking a self-driven and highly motivated team player to help execute our new communications strategy across digital marketing and other Council communication channels. The primary purpose of the role is to promote the City of Marion as a great place to live, work and play. You will work closely with business areas to promote the City of Marion’s programs, initiatives, community consultations and events to our community. You will also craft innovative and engaging content for City of Marion’s external publications and internal communications. You will be adept at working with a range of diverse stakeholders and have a strong focus on the community and on delivering a great service. The role also supports City of Marion events and will be required to undertake some out of hours work as required.
About you: You have exceptional verbal, written and digital communication skills, including videography. Your ability to create engaging and accurate content is underpinned by a demonstrated understanding of, and passion for social media platforms. You are able to manage multiple projects and deliver high quality outputs within tight timeframes. Above all, you will be a collaborative team player who is confident operating at all levels of the organisation and with the community.
Relevant experience in a similar role or tertiary qualifications in media, communications or related field would be highly regarded. What we can offer.
