Cook, Chef for Japanese restaurant, Kitsuya Japanese Restaurant. Wolli Creek, Sydney NSW. Chefs/Cooks (Hospitality & Tourism). Part time. $25 – $27 per hour. We are hiring an experienced & skilled chef to join our fabulous team!

In this job, you will be responsible for: -Working in a hygienic environment. Preparing vegetables and meat ingredients as well as sauces. Keeping benches clean and tidy. Working under the pressure while presenting the docket management skills. Cleaning the kitchen equipment thoroughly at the end of the day, following our restaurant standard. Following food safety procedures such as labelling and FIFO principle. Preparing dishes following our standards promptly. Working with the team to present the best teamwork. Working on some extra jobs to help the person on the following roster. Washing dishes together with your team as soon as possible. (We don't have a kitchenhand washing dishes only, so all of our chefs and FOH staff members will be running the dishwasher whenever possible.) > This doesn't mean that the kitchen hand position is available.

Requirements: You must have at least 2 years of experience in Japanese hot food (including stir-fry, noodles such as Ramen / Udon / Soba, and deep-frying) > The experience in a takeaway Sushi shop won't count. You MUST be able to present your well-developed knife skills in vegetable cutting and chicken preparation. You must be able to communicate in English language. Please remember that our hot kitchen is busy preparing many orders from the Ramen, Udon, and Donburi menus. Therefore, you must be able to handle a significant amount of pressure during peak hours.
