The role At South East Water we're committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of our operations. Following a recent restructure, we are seeking an experienced Test Manager to plan, design, architect, and deploy effective test suites and regimes for in-house product development, information system launches and operations systems enhancements. You will play a vital role in managing functional and non-functional testing, test environment co-ordination, release management, test tooling resourcing and test automation approaches.

Some of your key responsibilities will include: Ensure that testing activities will allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues. Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications. Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.

Drive collaboration with project teams to ensure smooth and reliable delivery of testing services to fulfil project objectives, and delivery timelines. Evaluate, plan, design, develop, and deploy testing techniques for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycle. Design, monitor and adapt release and test planning approaches and practices based on feedback and industry best practice. Proactively plan the release windows across projects and portfolios. Ensure that the organisation's release controls are documented and well understood by development teams and support teams.

Who are you? Your ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder and vendor relationships and proven experience in test management will be crucial to your success.

You will also possess the following skills, knowledge and experience: Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline. 7-10 years of experience in a Test Manager role. Demonstrated experience leadership in test management or governance in a medium to large organisation. Demonstrated experience in people leadership in both direct and matrix style delivery structures. Demonstrated and strong understanding of testing methodologies, testing tools, release management. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements for Victorian water agencies. Excellent stakeholder relationship skills to build momentum, unblock issues and ensure successful project outcomes. An understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements for Victorian water agencies would be considered advantageous.
