About us: Gold Coast Kids Therapy is an allied health run multidisciplinary practice in the northern suburbs of the Gold Coast, QLD. We provide Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy supports to children, birth to 17 years, who have difficulties that impact their participation in everyday activities.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team. We are looking for OTs who are passionate about providing services to children, in order for them to reach their full potential and participate in family and community life.

About the Position: We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. Part-time position with possibility to increase to fulltime. The role involves individual sessions in clinic, home and community settings in the northern Gold Coast suburbs (community visits are within approximately 15km of the clinic - no long travel). Manage a varied and complex caseload at a level commensurate to clinical knowledge, experience and skill set. Develop knowledge and expertise through proactive learning and by actively engaging in professional development programs, supervision, mentoring and reflective practice.

Collaborate with the team demonstrating care, respect and honesty. Provision of high-level written documents including assistive technology applications, reports, progress summaries, and letters as required.

About You: Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy (with evidence of full AHPRA Registration required). Member of Occupational Therapy Australia desirable. Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to attain quickly, and Current National Police Criminal Check. Eligible to become a Medicare Provider. Current Drivers Licence and own reliable transport (travel allowances provided).

Committed to ongoing learning, and personal and professional development. Keen interest in working with children with developmental delays/disabilities, and their families. Experience with goal setting with children and families, and collaboratively planning intervention. Evidence of high level communication, including with people of a range of ages and abilities, and ability to collaborate in a team demonstrating respect, honesty and integrity. Experience and/or willingness to learn more about working in a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed way. Highly desirable: working in participation-based models of practice; experience working within a parent coaching model of practice.
