Forklift Operator
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Day
Salary: $13.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Brooklyn, Nova Scotia (10 vacancies )

Education: Not applicable, Not required
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Forklift Operator Certification
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Warehouse
Vehicle and Equipment Experience: Pallet lifters, Industrial lift trucks and forklifts, Reach trucks
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products, Pick orders and stock, Make labels and attach to goods, Wrap goods, Transport and distribute materials and goods
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Significant use of memory
