Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver (Class 1)
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Night, Evening
Salary: $17.00 to $18.00 Hourly for 48 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Tractor-trailer A train, Tractor-trailer B train, Extended length tractor-trailer combination, Flatbed, Van, Refrigerated, Dry bulk
Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local, Regional, Provincial/territorial
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports, Accident or incident reports
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
