Job Summary: Profire Combustion is a leading provider of Burner Management Systems and associated equipment in the Oil and Gas industry. With office locations in Spruce Grove, Alberta Canada; Lindon, Utah; Houston and Victoria Texas, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma, Profire is positioned for aggressive future growth. We are currently seeking results-oriented and customer focused individuals to join us as an Embedded Firmware Developer located in Alberta Canada.
Profire Combustion is looking for a Firmware Developer to join our R&D team in Spruce Grove, AB. You will work closely with other firmware and hardware designers throughout various stages of the hardware and firmware development cycle from concept to production. As many of our systems are used in safety critical applications, detail oriented firmware development and documentation will be important. We have both junior and intermediate level positions available.
Job Requirements
 Design, code and debug firmware
 Software documentation for certification
 Production test fixture development
Key Accountabilities/Skills:
 C/C++ language and assembly language
 Embedded development experience
 Ability to read software flow charts and hardware schematics
 Ability to learn quickly
 Good problem solving skills
 Good written and oral communication skills
 Experience with ARM processors would be an asset
Education and Training:
 Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Computer or Electrical Engineering Technology
