Electrical Project Engineer

Key Job Responsibilities:
 Managing technical project staff within the Rail and Transit group for the development of detailed designs for electrical works associated with railway / transit station design, retrofit and new build construction projects
 Taking on the role as Technical Specialist and/or Technical Leader with regards to Electrical works for Rail and Transit projects
 Perform detailed design and design review of Electrical works for rail station design such as: lighting design, fire alarms, communication systems, access control, CCTV, life safety, UPS systems etc
 Coordinate Rail and Transit projects and coordinating other engineering disciplines and project teams
 Providing Project Management and regards to the design of Rail and transit projects
 Act as Client Point of Contact for Rail and Transit projects
 Lead and mentor junior project staff with regards to electrical design, commissioning and best practice
Required Experience / Qualifications:
 Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
 Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
 A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with experience working on large scale Transit Station design Projects
 Excellent hands on detailed design skills with regards to electrical building systems such as: lighting design, fire alarms, communication systems, access control, CCTV, life safety, UPS systems etc
 Experienced using Microstation design software
 Strong experience in the management of project teams and technical staff to completion or project deliverables
 Extensive experience in Project and Design Management for large scale Transit Projects is preferred
 Experience in the development and mentorship of junior staff
 Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interface at all levels of an organization
 Familiarity and experience with relevant electrical codes and standards
