Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Type of Materials or Products: Aircraft or motor vehicles
Surface Preparation Methods: Chemical techniques
Application Methods: Hand-held spray guns
Work Setting / Industry Experience: Aviation and Aerospace industry
Specific Skills: Select appropriate paint or mix paints, Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings, Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes
Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications, Knowledge of the Military Specific paints (Mil-Spec), Maintain records and inventory
Security and Safety: Criminal record check (abstract)
