HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/CLASS 3 DRIVER Gander Area
Curtis Powerworks Inc.  Is currently seeking an Experienced Excavator Operator with a minimum of Class 3 Drivers license for the Gander, NL area.  Successful candidate must be competent in loading and off-loading of heavy equipment.   Experience in excavating and class 3 driving is considered a requirement for this position. Having a Class 1 license and experience floating would be considered an asset for this position.
Terms of Employment: Full Time, Weekend, Days, Evenings possible
Languages: Speak English, Read English, and Write English.
Specific Skills: Operate excavator, Drive Vehicles requiring class 3 licenses, clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, secure special attachments to equipment. Be able to operate equipment in demanding environment.
Transportation/Travel Information:  Willing to travel, regularly within designated areas.
Security, Safety and Certifications:  Driving record check (abstract). Hold proper class of driver’s license.  Hold or be able to obtain certifications required under Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.  Such as but not limited to, Power line Hazards, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Trenching & Excavation, and First Aid. Prior to commencement of employment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:  Physically demanding, requiring attention to detail.
Work Site Environment: Outdoors
