Our client is an international world class manufacturing facility that designs, engineers, and manufactures components for the motor industry. The purpose of the position is to implement, update, verify and maintain an effective Environmental, Safety and Health system to comply with local and international standards.

Working Hours: 07:30 - 16:15 & shift work as and when required
Key Job Outputs: The Key job outputs of the function include, but are not limited to: Maintaining occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (OHSE) Management Systems (ISO 14001) and (18001). Continuous improvement of OHSE interventions (e.g. toolbox talks). Assist with the management of OHSE representatives and OHSE sub-committees. Managing incident investigations, risk assessments audits and inspections in conjunction with the SHE Officer. Facilitate IOD processes for injuries that occur on duty. OHSE induction for new employees and contractors.
Audit contractor compliance (OHSE files, compliance with Company safety regulations, etc.) Assist in compiling and presenting monthly reports (incident trends, analyzed data, audit gaps and corrective actions). The key competencies listed below are essential. Please do not apply if you do not meet that essential criteria that is listed.
Essential competencies (knowledge/skill) required to perform outputs: Must have completed Grade 12. Must have a recognized Ndip in health and safety. Must have a SAMTRAC qualification. Must have a Minimum 3 years’ experience in OHSE within an automotive industry. Must have a Minimum 3 years' experience in incident investigation, risk assessment and auditing (OHSE). Computer literate (Excel & Outlook Email). Be able to work shifts. Interested applicants must have recent work experience, and recent contactable references.
