Senior Electrical Engineer
A challenging leadership/management mandate - Prince George
While providing technical leadership and guidance to the Electrical and Instrumentation (E/I) groups, you will: - develop strategic long-term plans and provide E/I input into major maintenance and capital project work - coordinate internal/external engineering support - ensure effective preventive maintenance plans - further develop and maintain accurate maintenance and engineering standards and practices - ensure high voltage system reliability - provide coaching, mentoring and technical support on power and control issues - review the work of consultants and contractors and assign work to or guide other engineers and technical staff - provide broad support to production, maintenance and engineering team members.
Forward thinking, flexible and resourceful, you can apply your technical insight, design experience and analytical abilities to develop novel solutions. You are equipped with a BSc degree in electrical engineering and are a member of (or eligible to register with) APEGBC. Ideally, you also have or qualify to obtain FSR A certification. Over 10 years relevant industry experience, ideally including tenure in a modern pulp mill or heavy industry plant, will also serve you well in this multifaceted role.
