Commercial and Operations Director, Illovo; Johannesburg. R1 000 000 – 1 400 000 CTC per Annum. Duration: Permanent.

Overview: Large entity with various facets to the business requires a commercially minded Director to take the operations to the next level ITO modernizing the way business is done and implementing the necessary changes to move the business forward.

Minimum Requirements: 8 or more years’ experience as an Executive or Senior Manager within the corporate sector. Completed Business or Marketing related Degree. Extensive experience within business management across a range of business disciplines including strategy, commerce, finance, HR and operations. Financial reporting capabilities including budgeting and cash flow management.

Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the annual budgeting process and present the budget with the underlying assumptions to the Finance Committee prior to presenting it to the Main Committee. Ensure that governance is in place and applied to every aspect of the operations. Develop strategies and organize resources to enhance the sustainability of the entity. Implement and embrace the changes that the entity is required to implement to move forward in today’s age. Identify the key performance areas for all departments. Strategize and implement opportunities to increase revenue and/or reduce cost base. Provide stakeholders with a monthly reports relevant activities including a full set of financial statements
