HR Generalist, HRBP, Germiston, East Rand. Company Name: Lascom Recruitment. A leading supplier of power tools and hardware to the retail, motor & industrial industries is looking for an HR Generalist / HRBP to join their successful team.
Duties & Responsibilities: Manage, oversee and monitor employee life cycle (onboarding, career growth, retention, and off boarding). Complete the relevant vacancy requisitions, ensuring all details are captured and signed off by GM HR, relevant department head and CEO/CFO. Advertise correct role profile internally, and where no suitable candidates available, externally. Screen candidates and select suitable candidates, Lead interviews by participating in first level interviews. Draw up and provide all on boarding documentation, including contracts. Manage fixed term contracts and advise managers when contracts need to be renewed. Induction –Manage and coordinate pre recruitment and induction.
Ensure the accuracy and completion of all employee and position data in ACCSYS (Job grade, reporting structure, job titles, occupational levels, SOC codes). Link employees to correct leave entitlement. Update monthly HR Dashboard-Engagements, movements, IR reports. Provide GM HR with meaningful ad hoc reports as and when required. Ensure employee files are kept up to date. Respond to all queries within 24 hours, escalate when necessary. Capture all engagements and movements on control sheet for payroll submissions. Monitor excess sick & annual leave balances & inform managers so as to take corrective action. Perform and assist with ad hoc tasks to enable team to achieve goals. Submit signed off schedules and control to payroll. IR - Advise on, facilitate, execute, and implement the applicable IR practices, policies and procedures relating to disciplinary cases, grievance, consultations, and conflict and dispute resolutions, absence management.
Secure chairpersons for disciplinary hearings as HR rep and issue outcomes. Capture and track all IR issues on HRIS. Employment equity – Set up and attend all EE meeting and take minutes. Schedule meetings on a quarterly basis. Assist GM HR with quarterly reports. Assist GM HR Manager with the year end EE plan and reports. Strong focus on IR. 3 to 5 years work experience. Must have experience with Unions. Able to work in a fast paced environment. Able to work under a lot of pressure.
Experience & Qualifications: Matric. Post matric HRM qualification. Proven track record in diversity management. Minimum 4 years’ experience as an HR Generalist/Business Partner. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a sense of priority. Ability to build and enhance internal and external customers relationships. Ability to problem solve in a creative manner. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Ability to learn new systems and procedures and understand Payroll and HRIS. Strong IR and recruitment experience. Experience with Unions. Please note that full covid vaccination status is essential. R35K to R40K CTC per month.
