Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Air Brake Adjustment Certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer
Type of Travel: Local
Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Perform preventive maintenance
Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service
Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
