Vacancy: QA Technologist – Clothing – Durban, Other, Durban City. Company Name: Rite-Fit Recruitment. Experienced QA technologist (CLOTHING) required for a supplier in Durban.

Requirements: Minimum 8 -10 years’ experience in lingerie production/technical environment. Relevant tertiary qualification. Supervisory experience required. Bra pattern making experience advantageous. Computer literacy – MS Office is essential. Reports to General Manager. Travel required local and international – frequently. Working with Sync. Maintaining and building strong customer relations.

Responsibilities: Involved in the make – up of the range, technical construction of garments. Assessing critical path. Ensuring all orders are delivered timeously. Following up on orders with factories and agents. Conducting weekly production meetings in office and with factories.

Ensuring attention to detail on all aspects of order. Ensuring conformance and handling of all technical aspects to obtain approval in shortest lead time. Providing technical advice to factories. Manage all technical and quality related issues during all stages of the QA cycle.

Liaising with customers, attending meetings and resolving problems as and when required

Preparing and facilitating audits and making certain all audits are conducted timeously with attention to detail. Visiting factories ensuring quality standards are maintained. Visits to customers maintaining strong customer relations. Create and maintain WIP Reports and conducting fit sessions before submissions to customers.
