Truck Driver (Roll off Driver)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend
Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 Hourly for 48 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Not required
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)
Type of Travel: Local, Provincial/territorial
Documentation Knowledge: Maintenance and repair reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs
Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers
Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding
